West Wales Regional Partnership Area Plan and Population Needs Assessment

The Population Needs Assessment provides a data driven overview of care and support needs across the region. A range of data relating to the region and the constituent Local Authority areas is used to provide a comprehensive picture of current and future care and support needs and how these are being met.

In West Wales we have developed this tool to make our assessment readily accessible online in a user-friendly format. The data itself is refreshed automatically each time updates are released, with the narrative text updated at regular intervals throughout its 5-year cycle.

Section 14A of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act requires us to produce an Area Plan setting out how we will work together to address the findings and recommendations of our Population Assessment.

The West Wales Regional Partnership brings together partners from local government, the NHS, third and independent sectors with users and carers with the aim of transforming care and support services in the region. Find out more here
The West Wales region covers the area of Hywel Dda University Health Board and includes the council areas of Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire.
